Hey PHCorner mates 👋,

If your phone suddenly shows "Unknown Number" due to any of the following, this guide is for you:

  • Switched to a physical eSIM (Smart/TM Multi-SIM, 5ber, esim.me, EasyUICC, etc.) using your old number.
  • Switched from another carrier (ported your number from another network).
  • Replaced your physical SIM card due to damage or upgrade.
This issue happens because your SIM’s number record (MSISDN) isn’t written or updated properly when the SIM profile changes. It doesn’t affect your network functions—calls, texts, and data still work—but your number might appear as “Unknown” in About Phone, SIM info, or certain messaging apps.

💡 Why it happens

  • New or converted eSIMs (Smart/TM, 5ber, esim.me, EasyUICC, etc.) often don’t include number data.
  • SIM replacements or carrier porting can erase your number info.
  • Cloned or migrated SIMs can lose their internal number record.

🔧 The fix—use

With the SIM Number Setter tool, you can manually write your correct mobile number into your SIM’s internal storage. After doing so, your number will display correctly in your phone’s settings and supported apps.

✅ Works with Smart, TNT, TM, Globe, GOMO, and DITO (depending on SIM type).
✅ Ideal for SIM replacements, number porting, or eSIM conversions.
✅ Safe—only updates the SIM’s display label, not your actual network data.

🧠 FAQ

Q: Will this interfere with my network service?
A: Nope! It only updates your local SIM info, not your connection or plan.

Q: Does it work with physical eSIMs?
A: Yes—especially useful for Smart/TM Multi-SIM, 5ber, and esim.me eSIMs, which often come blank.

Q: What are the Android requirements?
A: It depends on what LSPosed Zygisk currently supports. At the moment, it works from Android 8 to Android 14. If you’re using a higher version, you’re out of luck for now.

Q: Can I update Magisk and LSPosed? Will I lose access to the app if I update both?
A: If you plan to update Magisk and LSPosed, it’s best not to update if you rely on this tool. Updating both may reset app permissions, requiring you to reconfigure SIM Number Setter from scratch.

If you’re tired of seeing “Unknown Number” every time you check your SIM info, this tool is your quick and easy fix. 🙌

Credits to the original author of the app! I just found out that it also works with physical eSIM cards—I personally used it to fix my number after porting to another network.
