2025’s “I Haven’t Seen the Sun” follows the story of curious documentary filmmaker Zhu Pingyu (Jiang Qi) who interviews serial killer Li Jinyao (Tseng Jinghua). The conversations lead to ghostly dreams and a meeting with the soul of a student who was Jinyao’s first love. Jinyao, nicknamed the “Rain Killer,” blames the murders on romantic trauma. Pinyu becomes involved in hidden secrets and psychological challenges. With painful flashbacks and supernatural elements, the series explores loss and the consequences of love.
