PHGod heals thru the Holy Spirit and He uses men (who has the Holy Spirit) to lay hands or pray for you - to get you healed.
The healing genuinely work and there's much more for us to experience - as we acquire heavenly knowledge of the Kingdom of God - where there is no lack.
That's why the works of JESUS like healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out demons, multiplying bread and fish, turning water in wine etc all happened were truly awesome!
God allowed His SON to be with us to demonstrate the power of the HOLY SPIRIT, which HE will leave with us as he needs to go back to heaven.
Now as sons and daughters, we need to humble ourselves, and ask for the HOLY SPIRIT to fill us.
When you read your bible it will be easy now, since the Holy Spirit is guiding your heart and your mind to agree with it.
When we don't have the Holy Spirit, it will only be our mind or our heart that will be at work that is why the information in it clashes.
The Holy Spirit unites the Heart and the Mind - makes them agree - fine tunes it in the atmosphere of heaven. Reading the bible makes it easier to understand, and you'd be amazed.

22And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”
23So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house. 28Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”
30He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.”

Results were catastrophic, they were ignored by God and punished for their lack of knowledge.

4“But let no one bring a charge,
let no one accuse another,
for your people are like those
who bring charges against a priest.
5You stumble day and night,
and the prophets stumble with you.
So I will destroy your mother—
6my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.
“Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also reject you as my priests;
because you have ignored the law of your God,
I also will ignore your children.
7The more priests there were,
the more they sinned against me;
they exchanged their glorious God for something disgraceful.
8They feed on the sins of my people
and relish their wickedness.
9And it will be: Like people, like priests.
I will punish both of them for their ways
and repay them for their deeds.
