The World App is a mobile application developed by Tools for Humanity, the team behind Worldcoin (a project co-founded by Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI).

WORLD APP FEATURES AND GUIDES
1. Downloading the App
You get it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
It installs like a normal crypto wallet app.
2. Creating Your Account
You set up the app by creating a World App account.
At this point, you don’t need to scan your eyes yet—you can already use it as a crypto wallet.
3. World ID (Proof of Personhood)
To prove you’re a real, unique human (not a bot), you need a World ID.
You get this by visiting a Worldcoin Orb (a physical device that scans your iris).
The scan creates a unique cryptographic code tied to your identity—without storing the actual iris image.
4. Using World ID
Once verified, your World ID lives in the app.
You can use it online to log in or prove “I’m a real person” without showing personal data.
Apps/websites can accept World ID for authentication.
5. Crypto Wallet Features
The app doubles as a wallet:
Store Worldcoin (WLD), Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, and more.
Send and receive funds globally, even if you don’t have a bank account.
Some countries get free distributions of WLD tokens as part of Worldcoin’s rollout.
