Hello! It seems like you're having trouble with your Redmi Note 8 not reading SIM cards or activating them even when there's a regular load on the SIM. This could be due to a few reasons, such as a faulty SIM card slot, software issues, or even a hardware problem. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Restart your phone: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix minor issues with the phone's software. Turn off your phone, remove the SIM card, reinsert it, and then turn on your phone again.

2. Check the SIM card: Make sure the SIM card is inserted properly and that it's not damaged. Try using the SIM card in another phone to see if it works.

3. Update software: Check if there are any software updates available for your phone. Updating the software can sometimes fix bugs that may be causing the issue.

4. Factory reset: If the problem persists, you can try doing a factory reset on your phone. Make sure to back up your important data before doing this as it will erase all data on your phone.

If none of the above steps work, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with the SIM card slot itself. In that case, it's best to take your phone to a reputable repair shop or an authorized service center for further diagnosis and repair. The cost of repair can vary depending on the exact issue and the service center you go to.

I hope this information helps you resolve the issue with your Redmi Note 8. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

I see, if you've already tried the common troubleshooting steps and your Redmi Note 8 still isn't detecting the SIM card, it's likely that there is a more serious issue at play. Since the problem persists despite your efforts, it may be best to have a professional technician inspect your phone to determine the exact cause of the problem.

Given that the phone is still underperforming despite the basic troubleshooting methods you've attempted, it may be necessary to seek assistance from a qualified technician or an authorized service center. They will have the expertise and tools to diagnose and repair the issue, whether it's a hardware problem with the SIM card slot or another underlying issue.

Regarding the repair cost of around 1500 pesos that you mentioned, it's essential to consider the expertise and quality of service that you'll receive. While the cost may seem high, ensuring that your phone is properly repaired by professionals can prevent further damage and save you money in the long run.

I recommend reaching out to the service center that provided you with the repair cost estimate to inquire further about the specific issue with your phone and the repair process. They should be able to provide you with more details on what needs to be done to fix the problem and whether the cost is reasonable for the repair required.

If you have any more questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask. I'm here to help!
