OPERATION ‘MIDNIGHT HAMMER’: U.S. LAUNCHES MASSIVE STRIKE ON IRAN’S NUCLEAR SITES
The United States launched a coordinated and highly strategic attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities over the weekend, deploying over 125 military aircraft in Operation “Midnight Hammer”, the largest B-2 s†éálth bomber strike in history.
The Pentagon confirmed the use of seven B-2 bombers, which flew undetected for 18 hours to strike three key nuclear sites, dropping 14 GBU-57 bunker-busting bombs, each weighing 30,000 pounds.
In a clever ruse, a decoy group of B-2s flew toward Guam, while the real strike force approached Iran from the east. Tomahawk missiles were also launched from a U.S. submarine, and fighter jets served as aerial decoys, clearing the path ahead.
This marks the second-longest B-2 operation ever, following missions after 9/11, and involved a total of 75 precision-guided munitions.
