BATO ON VIRAL VIDEO: 'I DON'T CARE IF IT'S AI OR MANOBO GENERATED'
Sen. Bato Dela Rosa on Monday, June 16, defended his sharing of a viral video opposing the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte, saying the message matters more than its origin.
"I don't care if this post is AI generated or Manobo generated because I am not after the messenger, I am after the message so, please don't shoot the messenger without reading the message that he delivers," Dela Rosa said.
The video, originally posted by the Facebook page AY GRABE, features individuals appearing to be students who argue that the impeachment is politically motivated and urge a broader probe into all recipients of confidential funds, including politicians. It has since gained over 7.6 million views and 117,000 reactions.
In his caption when he shared the video on June 14, Dela Rosa wrote: "Mabuti pa ang mga bata nakakaintindi sa mga pangyayari. Makinig kayo mga yellow at mga komunista!"
Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte also amplified the post, writing: "And the liberals say they have Gen Z support. Come on."
