They can't.

This happened to Telstra before, whom the San Miguel Corporation invited to be the supposed "3rd player" at the time. That time, sagot lahat ni SMC ang gastos and sponsorship to make the "talks" happen. But they backed out because of this 60-40 ownership.

That will be the breakthrough para malayang makapasok ang mga investors dito sa Pinas.

Pero matagal na proseso yan kasi Charter Change ang mangyayari diyan or buong babaguhin ang constitution, if I'm not mistaken.

Economic provision tlga dapat baguhin , yung 60-40 n yan at kabulokan sa electricity, wala tlgang gusto pumasok ,tagal n yan 🤣 d nmn na bago yan

Also, the two TelCos. (PLDT and Globe) know na kahit may pumasok na another player, they will still be the leading since the "new player" will have to start from scratch. Meaning, even their infrastructure has to start from scratch.

Look at what happened to DITO Telecom. Nakipag Tripartite agreement din siya kay PLDT at Globe to use their infrastructure until DITO Telecom has its own backbone.

Maybe 5-10 years from now, baka dun pa lang maging well-established ang infrastructure at backbone ni DITO Telecom. Well, that is, if DITO Telecom still exists in the industry at that time.
