❓ Help Test My Question

The discrepancy in the available storage space displayed on your Poco C75 device and what is shown on the Play Store may be due to the following reasons:

1. System Files and Reserved Space: The operating system, pre-installed apps, and system files take up a portion of the total storage space on your device. Additionally, some space may be reserved for system updates and cache files.

2. App Data and Cache: Apps installed on your device may also store data and cache files locally, which can consume storage space. This data may not be accounted for in the total available space shown on the Play Store.

3. Formatting and File System Overhead: The way storage space is calculated can vary depending on the file system used and how the storage is formatted. Some space is used for file system overhead and formatting, which reduces the actual available space.

4. User Data and Media Files: If you have a significant amount of personal data, such as photos, videos, music, and documents stored on your device, this can also impact the available storage space.

5. App Updates and Downloads: The Play Store may also consider the space available for app updates and downloads when displaying the available storage space. If you have pending updates or downloads, this can affect the displayed storage space.

To get a more accurate picture of your device's storage space usage, you can check the storage settings on your Poco C75. This will provide a detailed breakdown of how the storage is being used and help you identify any large files or apps that may be consuming space. Additionally, you can use third-party storage management apps to analyze and optimize your device's storage.

this seems to be rather prevalent with Poco phones. some say there's a "storage bug" fixed in later MiUI versions. some say they had to return/swap the phones due to a h/w issue (connection with some of the memory modules).

yet others say the following made a difference:
Settings -> "Special permissions" -> "usage access" -> "security", Turn on the -> "Permit usage access"
