❓ Help Best router for 10gb fiber plan

Hello! When looking for a router for a 10gb fiber plan, there are several factors to consider to ensure you get the best performance. Here are some key points to keep in mind:

1. Speed and Performance: Since you have a 10gb fiber plan, you'll want a router that can handle these high speeds without any bottlenecks. Look for routers that support Multi-Gig speeds (2.5Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps) to make the most of your internet connection.

2. Wired vs. Wireless: For the best performance, consider using a wired connection for devices that require high-speed internet, such as desktop computers or gaming consoles. However, if you need wireless connectivity, look for routers with the latest Wi-Fi standards (such as Wi-Fi 6) for faster speeds and better coverage.

3. Number of Devices: If you have a lot of devices connected to your network, make sure the router you choose can handle the traffic. Look for routers with multiple Ethernet ports and MU-MIMO technology to support multiple devices simultaneously.

4. Security Features: It's essential to prioritize security when choosing a router. Look for routers with built-in security features such as WPA3 encryption, VPN support, and firewall protection to keep your network safe from cyber threats.

5. Brand Reputation and Reviews: Research different router brands and read reviews from other users to get an idea of the overall performance and reliability of the router you are considering.

Some router models that are often recommended for high-speed fiber connections include the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000, NETGEAR Nighthawk AX12, and TP-Link Archer AX11000. Make sure to check the specifications and reviews of these routers to see if they meet your requirements.

business or residential deployment?
curious lang... anong use case mo para sa 10 Gbps service?

as for what router, you can start with the ones bot hinted at... but if it were me paying for 10Gbps service, i'd forget about the toys, i.e. those consumer grade devices. step up to the big boys. get one with at least two 10G ports, one of which is to connect to your network switch, which should also have a 10G port and a few multi-gig ports. add a few (depending on the size of the premises) wireless access points to provide wifi service, and you're good to go.

the solution depends, in no small part, on your budget. and, truth be told, the budget should also be tied to the use case. pointless kasi gumastos, and then find out it doesn't meet your needs. what i would put my money on is a Mikrotik router, like a CCR 2004, and Ruckus to provide WiFi. hard to beat Mikrotik in this space, but WAPs have other players, Aerohive, Aruba, Mist, etc.
