Jay Tarriela, Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson, welcomed news of the West Philippine Sea label on Google Maps. "For anyone wondering if you can search for the West Philippine Sea on Google," Tarriela wrote on his social media accounts. The South China Sea, meanwhile, is the larger body of water bordered by China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Taiwan. It encompasses several disputed island groups, including the Spratly Islands and Paracel Islands, and is subject to competing territorial claims from multiple countries in the region, including the Philippines.

Ah yung Status Quo na non-binding at maraming loopholes? Na niri-ristrict tayo sa pag develop sa nasasakupan ng EEZ natin? While Duterte allowed China to continue their activities? And he even allowed China to take fully control over disputed areas. At yung na gain lang natin ay pagpapatuloy ng resupply missions sa BRP Sierra Madre? Tanong ko lang sino nag gain ng advantage sa status quo truce dito?
naka limutan mo ata kung anu ang status quo bossing, walang bagong feature claims for PH and China that time, you tend to expect more effects from a truce when it only means one thing (to delay the claims)?

Well, as if you really believe that China will follow that status quo. Yes, they did not claim new feature but they just continued their construction and militarization activities on features they already controlled, particularly on Mischief Reef, Subi Reef, and Fiery Cross Reef in the Spratly Islands. Iniexploit lang nila yung loopholes ng vague agreement nila.

as i've said truce only means one thing (to delay the claims) and nothing else, you cannot charge the activities for the features they already controlled from a truce since truce doesn't work like that

Lol truce included expectations about activities, and China’s continued construction was criticized as violating its intent, enabled by loopholes but not immune to accountability.
