Answer:

Did the logs during the process said that there was problem connecting to ssh? If yes, the SSH account might have expired or the remote proxy you are using is not in tally with the ssh. This is why I highly recommend using squid proxy from the site from where you created the ssh account. Also the proxy site may be blocked by the ISP so pick a bug site that is still available.
