additional wired connections (laptop, gaming console,
printer, etc)

Based on the description provided, the TP Link gigabit switch seems like a good option if you are looking to expand your network capacity with gigabit speeds. Here are some points to consider when deciding whether to purchase it and which version to choose:

1. Network Expansion: The switch offers 5 gigabit ports, which can greatly expand your network capacity and provide faster data transfer speeds compared to traditional 10/100Mbps switches. This is beneficial if you have multiple devices that require high-speed connectivity.

2. Energy Efficiency: The switch features energy-efficient technology, which can help reduce power consumption and save money in the long run. This is a great feature to have, especially if you are conscious about energy usage.

3. Reliability and Quiet Operation: The IEEE 802.3X flow control ensures reliable data transfer, while the fanless design ensures quiet operation. This is important for maintaining a stable network connection without adding excess noise to your environment.

4. Plug and Play: The switch is easy to set up with no software installation or configuration needed. This makes it convenient for users who want a hassle-free installation process.

5. Ethernet Splitter: You can connect the switch to your router or modem to provide additional wired connections for devices such as laptops, gaming consoles, printers, etc. This can help improve connectivity in your home or office network.

If you are looking for a durable option, the metal case version (LS105G) might be a better choice due to its sturdier construction. The metal case can provide better protection for the internal components and potentially offer better heat dissipation compared to a plastic case.

Overall, if you need a reliable and efficient gigabit switch to expand your network, the TP Link gigabit switch seems like a good option. Consider your specific needs, such as the number of devices you need to connect and your preference for durability, when deciding between the standard version and the metal case version.

main difference is that the 105G supports 802.1P/DSCP QoS . i don't think you can configure how it handles it, would just be the basic higher priority packets first. so if you have QoS on your network and think you're possibly going to saturate this switch, say have 500 Mbps from 4 ports going to an uplink 1 Gbps port, the 105 might be a better choice.

ano yung speed from modem to ax1500?

at ano yung switch na gamit mo?
