Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom is an anime movie set in the New World, focusing on the once-prosperous Roebel Sacred Kingdom (also known as the Holy Kingdom) as it faces ruin after an attack from the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth. The movie follows the desperate efforts of the Holy Kingdom's leaders to seek help from the Sorcerer Kingdom, led by the infamous Lich Lord Ainz Ooal Gown, to fight against the powerful foes threatening their existence.
The plot centers around the grandmaster of the Holy Kingdom's Sacred Paladin Order, Remedios, and her subordinate Neia, who travel to the Sorcerer Kingdom to request Ainz's aid. Despite the historical enmity between the two kingdoms, they hope that Ainz can provide the necessary power to counter Jaldabaoth.
