Someone DM'd me an interesting website called Shademapp.app, and it looks really freaking useful for what we photographers need! Also, it's free.

Just go to the website (You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.), type your location, and swipe around to the time of day you're interested in. It shows you a 3D map of how the sunlight vs shade will interact with all objects, even trees, based on their height!

There's another app I've mentioned here a few times over the years.(http://photo*****.com). They use augmented reality with your actual phone's camera to overlay the position of the sun (or moon!) with where you are:

This is extremely helpful if the sunset is officially at 8:30 pm, but falls below a treeline, or building, etc. earlier than that.
