CONTEXT:
The bandit group has released photos of their ambush on troops from the 32nd Infantry Battalion (32IB) in Barangay Sumisip, Basilan.
According to an initial report, the perpetrators are allegedly members of the MILF.
They burned a military truck and posed for pictures while the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
Two soldiers were killed, and 12 others were wounded during the ambush, which occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
