Hello Pennyclied30! I'm glad you're looking into getting a new laptop that can handle both video editing and gaming. Given your requirements, it’s important to find a balance between performance and cost since you mentioned needing a budget-friendly option. Here are some key features you should consider and a few recommendations:

### Key Features to Consider
1. Processor (CPU): Since you're interested in video editing and gaming, look for laptops with at least an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor. These CPUs can handle these tasks more efficiently.

2. Graphics Card (GPU): For video editing and gaming, a dedicated graphics card (GPU) like NVIDIA GeForce GTX or RTX series, or AMD Radeon RX series will significantly improve performance.

3. RAM: You mentioned a preference for at least 8GB of RAM. This is a good baseline for both gaming and video editing, but 16GB is recommended if you can stretch your budget a bit for smoother performance.

4. Storage: SSD (Solid State Drive) is preferable because it speeds up boot times, loading times, and file-transfer speeds. A combination of SSD for the operating system and commonly used applications, along with a larger HDD for storage of large files like videos, might be ideal.

5. Display: A good display with at least a Full HD (1920x1080) resolution will be beneficial for video editing. If possible, getting a display with IPS technology would provide better viewing angles and color reproduction.

6. Build Quality and Battery Life: These are also important, especially if you plan to carry the laptop around. A sturdy build and a battery that lasts at least 5-6 hours of moderate use would be beneficial.

### Budget Laptop Recommendations
1. Acer Nitro 5: Often recommended for budget gamers. It comes with various configurations, which might include AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel Core i5 processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or 1650Ti graphics. It starts with 8GB of RAM but is upgradable.

2. ASUS TUF FX505: This series balances cost and performance well, offering AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 CPUs with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics. It also starts with 8GB of RAM and has options for expansion.

3. Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3: This is another great option that offers similar specifications as the above models. It’s equipped with AMD Ryzen processors, NVIDIA graphics, and good display quality.

4. Dell G3 15: Provides solid gaming performance with different configurations which might include Intel i5 CPUs and NVIDIA GTX graphics cards. It also has a good cooling system to keep performance stable.

### Additional Tips
  • Sales and Deals: Since you plan to buy around New Year, look out for sales or special deals. This can often allow you to get a better specification laptop for less money.
  • Check Reviews: Before making a final decision, check online reviews and benchmarks to ensure that the laptop performs well in real-world conditions, especially in gaming and video editing scenarios.

Feel free to ask more specific questions if you have any particular models in mind or need further assistance!

di same perfomance ang laptop at pc sa gaming purposes.
if budget need at gaming doon kana lang sa pc.

para makabili ng gaming laptop na katulad sa pc.. kailangan mo at least twice ng budget.
