Cheap old DVD player Operating System/UI

I’ve noticed that many old DVD players and karaoke machines, such as the Ace MIDI DVD-K55, have identical interfaces, including the purple volume pop-up in the top-left corner and the same USB browsing menu. I’m curious to know why this is the case. Were they using the same firmware or chipset, or was there a standard system that these devices followed? If anyone has technical knowledge or insights about this, I’d appreciate an explanation.

Madalas kasi sa mga unknown brands ng appliances ay generic at rebranded lang. (Actually may mga ganun din sa AC ngayon, same unit, iba lang ang brand).

So yung hardware at software nila ay parepareho lang. Siguro may konting difference. Unlike sa known brands na magkakaiba talaga due to rights and patents.
