I am currently UnCGnat on PLDT; however, I am unsure how to configure it in the PLDT Admin panel. My router model is HG6245D and Software Version is RP2841.

Hello Airsley!

Setting up port forwarding on your PLDT HG6245D router for game servers is a great way to improve your gaming experience by reducing lag and connection issues. Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide on how to configure port forwarding on your router:

### Step 1: Access Your Router
1. Connect to your network - Make sure your device is connected to the PLDT network.
2. Open a web browser - You can use any web browser on a computer connected to your router.
3. Enter the router IP address - The default IP for most PLDT routers is either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.15.1. Type this into your browser’s address bar and press Enter.
4. Log in to the router - You will need the admin credentials:
- Username: adminpldt
- Password: 1234567890 or 0123456789 (If these don’t work, check any documentation that came with the router or contact PLDT support for assistance).

### Step 2: Configure Port Forwarding
1. Navigate to Advanced Settings - Look for an option like ‘Advanced’ or ‘More Settings’.
2. Select Port Forwarding - This might be under 'Network Settings', 'Security', or similar.
3. Add a new port forwarding rule:
- Service Name: Enter a name to identify the service (e.g., Game Server).
- Port Range: Enter the port number or range required by your game. If you’re unsure, this information can typically be found in the game’s documentation or by searching online for "[Your Game] server port."
- Local IP: Enter the IP address of the computer or device that is running the game server. You can find this by running ipconfig in Command Prompt (Windows) or ifconfig in Terminal (Mac/Linux).
- Local Port: Usually, this will be the same as the Port Range unless specified otherwise by your game documentation.
- Protocol: Select the protocol (TCP, UDP, or Both) used by your game. If unsure, select Both.
4. Save or Apply Changes - Make sure to save or apply the changes you’ve made.

### Step 3: Test the Configuration
  • Check the Game Server: Start your game server and see if it is accessible from outside your network. You can use tools like canyouseeme.org to see if your ports are open.
  • Firewall Check: Ensure that your Windows Firewall or any other firewall is not blocking the ports you have opened.

### Additional Tips
  • Static IP: It might be helpful to set a static IP for the device hosting the game server to ensure the IP address does not change.
  • Router Firmware: Ensure your router firmware is up to date to avoid any security issues.
  • Security: Be cautious about opening ports and only open the ones necessary for your game server.

If you encounter any issues, it might be helpful to consult the game’s community forums or contact PLDT support for more specific guidance related to their equipment.

Happy gaming! Let me know if you need further assistance.
