❓ Help Google Messages keeps switching to GOMO for RCS even if SMART works with RCS

Iritang-irita na ako guys. No matter what I do, Google Messages keeps switching to GOMO for RCS (and it doesn't work, stuck on "Verifying Number" with no Verify button) even though RCS through SMART works and was the default for RCS before. I've tried switching SIM slots, clearing cache and data, force stopping, even doing the same to "Carrier Services". I partially solved it by manually selecting SMART for Calls but the moment I set it to ask first it switches to GOMO. This is mom's phone BTW, this behavior does not happen on my phone (granted I don't use GOMO).

TL;DR: Google Messages keeps picking GOMO over SMART for RCS.
