PHA 44-year old woman was killed and her 17-year old stepdaughter was raped in their house in Sara, Iloilo on early Thursday.
The victim’s head was severely injured and a blood-stained wood was also recovered by authorities.
The victim’s sister said that her 17-year-old stepdaughter, who was staying with the victim, went to her at around 2 a.m. after she witnessed the death of her aunt.
But the sister believes that her stepdaughter was really the target of the suspects.
“I think my stepdaughter was really the target of the suspects. The suspects just threw out the cellphone they got from them,” the victim’s sister said in vernacular.
The victim’s niece was also allegedly raped by the suspects, the report said.
“Allegedly, she was raped. So she will be subject to medico-legal examination to prove that,” said Sara Municipal Police Station chief Police Major Jogen Suegay in vernacular.
Police investigation showed the suspects entered through one of the windows.
CCTV footage captured the suspects but they immediately redirected the view of the camera, the report added.
