PLDT x Cignal (PLDT FIBER UNLI ALL 1399)

Hello Ka-Phcorner! I just want to survey the subscribers of PLDT FIBER UNLI ALL plans, is there any other set-top-box/STB that PLDT installs other than the Skyworth HS8871? Cause we currently experiencing distorted/pixelated picture on some of it channels, specifically HD channels such as HBO HD, Tap Movies HD, PBA Rush, UAAP Varsity Channel etc.

We already reported our concern to PLDT via 171 and there is a scheduled technician visit by tomorrow. Props to PLDT that even though we’re affected by Typhoon Enteng, they are still escalating our problem to solve it as soon as possible.

Edit: I saw one different STB that was posted in a Cignal Instalation FB Group. It was a Samsung branded STB. I think they are like the same built and same Cignal UI so I am wondering if it is the new STB from PLDT since the person posted said that they are currently subcribed to a PLDT x Cignal plan.

It might be because of the bad weather? The internet bandwidth is affected thus giving that pixelated images/frames. Kapag digital kasi, unlike analog terrestrial signal, kapag mahina ang signal, automatic freeze/drop frames na nya ang packets. Sa analog hazy lang. Ganun pa din ba ngayon?

I tried connecting my friends set top box. We have the same router, but he has the bundled Cignal. Nde sya gumana sa amin. Although I checked the designated specific port for the set top box, it was enabled. Baka kelangan enable sa end nila depende sa subscription. Or ID binded.
 
daming complain sa modem na yan kahit sa ibang isp like globe fiber - unstable lagi yun speed, if i were you ipa replace mo yan ng zte o fiberhome

Gawa cguro sa nakalipas na bagyo kaya nag ka ganyan picture

I think hindi po eh kasi kahit tapos na yung bagyo, it is still the same :( During the day it works perfectly fine but when the sun sets, the problem still persists. Actually we’ve experienced it last March this year, may problem lang daw po sa back end ni Cignal and naayos naman po. Pero ngayon po kahit inayos na po nila sa back end di pa rin po nafifix. Consistent na pag sa gabi pixelated ang mga channels. Siguro it’s time to change the box na rin po. To give you idea exactly one year pa lang po yung set top box sa amin. Pero yung box po is I think 11 years old na mga 2013 pa and yung last update is 2016.

Do you mind po if can I take a look on your friend’s set top box? Or same lang po siya nung sa amin?

Ah yes po hindi po ata talaga siya gagana kasi activated lang sa certain account number/telephone number na bundled kay Cignal.
 
sa modem nyo po yan?yung lumang kung modem walang problema.kaka install lang other week yung plan ko.yung modem ko pala luma na.yung may apat na antenna.tapos gumamit ako ng lan cable na cat6 connected sa google tv naman.all goods naman.HD yung mga channels na hd..
