The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat brought heavy rains and caused up waist-deep floods in some parts of Metro Manila on Wednesday morning.
In its flood alerts, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said floods were reported in the following areas:
Calamba Sto. Domingo Biak Na Bato - waist-deep, not passable to all types of vehicles as of 6:53 a.m.
Andrew Tramo northbound - gutter-deep, passable to all types of vehicles as of 6:53 a.m.
EDSA Shaw tunnel northbound - gutter-deep, passable to all types of vehicles as of 6:50 a.m.
Araneta Avenue- Maria Clara Street - not passable to light vehicles, as of 6:30 a.m.
Commonwealth Avenue after Philcoa eastbound - gutter deep, passable to all types of vehicles as of 6:30 a.m.
E. Rodriguez Araneta - knee-deep, not passable to light vehicles as of 6:30 a.m.
