The movie Dancing Village: The Beginning of the Curse tells a scary story full of mysterious adventures in the heart of the forests of Java. The story begins where a shaman named Mila is assigned to return a mystical bracelet named Kawaturih to a village called "Dancing Village". This village is located in a remote and unknown part of Java Island. Mila comes to the village with her cousin Yuda and her friends Jito and Arya. But upon entering the village, they encounter a strange and eerie atmosphere. The village elder has passed away and the new guardian, Mbah Buyut, has disappeared. Unnatural and scary events happen one after another and the presence of a legendary creature named Badarawuhi who rules the village complicates everything. Tired of the delay in returning, Mila decides to bring the Kawaturih bracelet back to the village herself. But his action endangers the security of the whole village. Mila is forced to participate in a ceremony that aims to choose a new "Davoh", a cursed spirit who must continue to dance for the rest of her life.
