Dr.Web LiveDisk is a bootable tool that almost feels like an operating system in itself.

It is not, but it can be easily seen as an auxiliary OS for use in situations where you can't boot into your usual one, and desperately need access to files or are simply trying to fix some errors while locked outside your machine's interface.

To get this running, the app does require a bit of knowledge. There's nothing in particular that should make you feel scared or unprepared.

You need to create a bootable disk, regardless of the exact type, whether removable or physical DVD, and so on. You might end up needing some third-party tools that allow you to create the bootable media you'll need.

Once, launched and fully booted, the program seems like your average OS, except having included a lot of health, maintenance, and repair utilities. You do get a fully functional browser with this iteration of the application, which in the end translates to a more functional and easy-to-maneuver bootable program.

If you get over the booting phase, then you'll end up with a pretty friendly program, meaning you won't have to waste time finding the right settings, launching the correct application, and so on. The environment this program creates is indeed a safe and friendly one, and this is what I liked most about this program.

Dr.Web LiveDisk si an application to consider if you are having big trouble with your machine and the OS is either unresponsive or inaccessible.

The bottom line with this program is you'll have to struggle a bit with the creation of a fully bootable image, but even so, this is not something complex and can be managed by any user out there, not just advanced ones.
