Ookla's reveals Starlink's down and up speeds, slower than ph local ISP's

In the latest Ookla’s study reveals that Starlink’s download and upload speeds are slower compared to other traditional providers in the Philippines.

Ookla’s Q2 2024 Speedtest Intelligence report shows Starlink’s median download speed at 48.14 Mbps, while fixed broadband in the country averages 94.42 Mbps.

Mas mabagal siay technically dahil nasa orbit ang satelites ng Starlink whereas land-based naman ang local ISPs. Ang main selling point talaga ng Starlink ay kaya niyang i-cover yung locations na di abot ng local ISPs, e.g., remote areas.
