PHChina's shipbuilding industry has been hard at work on a new class of amphibious assault ships, building the first ship of the class at an astonishingly quick pace. But the purpose that the large, advanced Type 076 warship may serve is still something of a mystery. There are still plenty of unknowns surrounding this unusual vessel.
