My unpopular opinion about the West Philippines Sea.

"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." -Sun Tzu
We don't need to go to war but we need to win it without fighting them where they are powerful.
China won't suddenly attack us as it will affect every aspect of their country in terms of their economy and relationship with other countries. I noticed that this worries a lot of our countrymen, thus affecting our decisions, time, and energy.
The best thing that our government can do is to deal with it simply by building infrastructures on our own islands.
It will be hard for us to take over if we let this crucial moment and do nothing - like what happened with Scarborough Shoal where they built infrastructures, they might as well keep doing it and support it through their propaganda.
Sometimes, the strategies in ancient wars of taking over territory can be helpful for us to operate in basic ways to dissect these complicated issues.
This is one of the things I learned from a Vietnamese that I spoke with recently. He told me that China is so fast in building and taking over lands and there were times that they needed to spread leaflets advocating their countrymen to pay the government to buy a certain island just so they and the next generation can have it.
He also emphasized to me with deep regards that we do not want war and it will certainly affect our lives significantly.
I also got to share with him some Chinese videos where the CCP proclaims and implants the generations a belief that they completely own a huge portion of the West Philippines Sea. Aside from spreading lies through media platforms, such as creating historical movies showing their claim, they also gaslight us or others into believing it. (thus makes others question their belief or knowledge)
Filipinos should have learned our lessons regarding propaganda so it's important to tell the younger generations in the future about these occurrences or events.
Importantly, we haven't noticed that China has been raging war against us without us knowing it.
One example I know of is the cyberwar.
These POGOS and online scams have been going on for years where they acquire your personal information and show that you have lent some money through that app and get you to pay for something you do not owe.
Next, they advertise ******** games (be it in any form, Chinese-owned) and they disrupt or make others think they will earn but in the end, we lose money.
They also have these fake job opportunities or offers where you get an income by doing simple tasks but in the end, you will come to the point where you don't get your hard-earned money back.
China also has this way of lending our country some money and they will make it hard for us to pay it back as they disrupt our economy.
I
These are the things that are actually happening under the table.
More importantly, is China's main goal to rage war? Definitely not.
Or to take over the Southeast Asia trade industry? Definitely.
They would also definitely want to have territorial power in SEA.
They will try to keep "playing it safe", so they can still continue the economy but take over bit by bit. It will not stop until they achieve their goal in SEA.
We cannot also depend on other countries such as the USA because they won't be there in the crucial moment - like what happened before, the USA took time to get such approval/communication to execute their operations.
Until our country speaks up and creates stronger bonds with SE Asian countries, geographically, the Philippines can be the most iconic country in SEA to fight against China's bullying.
We might be the most oppressed in these times but we are the most diverse in religions, and languages, the top 2 business process outsourcing service provider, and our location has the best sovereignty, and authority in SEA besides the West Pacific region.
This is also why the USA won't allow China to have sovereignty in our country.
Gladly, we are not also one of those countries that are under China's debt trap.
Thanks for reading
