Japan should have seen this coming during the past several years. The US is never fair even to its allies.Biden is pressuring its allies, including Japan, to restrict semiconductor sales to China. Japan refused because 50% of its chip exports go to China. Complying with US demand is economic suicide.
Look at what happened to the Netherlands
after bowing the US dictate not to sell lithography machine, China produced its own...now the Netherlands lost a market.
