On June 17 at 8:46 PM, US Ambassador to the Philippines Marykay Carlson tweeted the US condemnation of China pertaining to the incident in Ayungin Shoal between the Philippines versus China.
The Carlson tweet was made 14 MINUTES after the DND Secretary of the Philippines Gibo Teodoro released his own statement.
And the Carlson and Teodoro statements were posted ONE DAY EARLIER than the official statement of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the party directly involved in the incident, which was posted June 18 at 11:15 PM.
Makes me wonder how quick America was able to assure us of support even though the details of the incident were still not publicly clear, and way ahead of Malacañang, which still has no official say on the issue.
It’s like Carlson was there in Ayungin when it happened for her to jump in immediately into the fray.
Amazing.
