Welcome to Maisug Bohol.

This is another evidence of the growing authoritarianism of the BBM regime: harassing duly elected and appointed government officials they perceive to be allies of PRRD by either suspending them in the case of elected officials or outright removal and replacement without cause for PRRD appointees.

From DavNor governor Jubahib to Gov. Mamba of Cagayan province, Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama, MinDA chair Mabel Acosta, the 40 or so high ranking PNP officers of Davao City, and plenty more that were not publicized or we just don’t know about.

While I agree that officials who were responsible for what happened in the famed Chocolate Hills needed to be held accountable for failure to exercise their proper functions, it seems to me suspending the governor of Bohol is an overreach in applying the doctrine of command responsibility.

The suspension should have stopped at the provincial DENR and Municipal level officials together with barangay officials who are equally responsible.

I wonder what Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin’s former colleagues in the judiciary and those in the legal profession have to say in all of this.

I’m sure their mouths are zipped and their hands tied. Well done, Bongbong Marcos

Well done. You made yourself a few more set of political adversaries in the province of Bohol.

oo nga wala nga palang DENR permit hehe

Resolution No. 01, series of 2018, was executed by PAMB to manage the Chocolate Hills Natural Monument and the construction of the resort was found to violate this PAMB resolution, as it constitutes defacement of the Chocolate Hills or activities that alter, destroy, or remove any hills, which is prohibited under the laws protecting the natural park.

And the next resolution you mentioned, this is where the issue starts. PAMB passed the resolution favoring the resort's construction despite concerns about environmental impact and compliance, citing its own internal policies that allowed limited development within the protected area. This suggests the PAMB prioritized economic development over strict environmental protections in this case.

In addition The resolution was approved by the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) in 2022, and it was presided over by a barangay captain who served as the chairperson of the PAMB.
