PHWe filed House Resolution No. 1745 directing the appropriate House Committees to conduct an investigation on those with alleged history of involvement in extrajudicial killings and the possible human rights violations in their respective areas of responsibility for a period covering the last twenty-five (25) years until the present.
Let us look at the totality, the whole picture where we can see that the human rights violations have been perennial threat against a significant number of Filipinos for several decades now. Let us look at other LGUs and at a longer time period, not only at Davao City and not only during a six-year period. Let us not be selective as it shall not solve the real issue here.
We call the CHR, DILG, DOJ, PNP and all the related officials of pertinent LGUS and their respective Local Chief Executives, in particular with Manila City, Cebu City, and Quezon City to be part of this investigation.
