in realworld parang signature lang ito ng tao, you can identify and verify signatures based on their unique pen strokes as a proof na sayo nanggaling yung isang bagay.

same thing as digital signatures, for example in a form of certificates like ssl/tls, encrypts your message before leaving your device, then transmit to other computer but before mabasa ng computer yung content, it will first check and decode validity of that content via digital signature kung authentic ba siya or namodify at some point while hopping on multiple hosts, to avoid attacks like man-in-the-middle
