PHWHO IS BAMBAN MAYOR ALICE LEAL GO?
Is Mayor Alice Guo part of the "tanim tao" scheme (a twist on the infamous "tanim bala") wherein Chinese individuals are trained to infiltrate and influence the Philippine government?
I am pretty sure she's not the only one, so I think it's time to look at the background of every elected official in the country.
If these questionable individuals remain unchecked, one of them might be a Philippine president one day! That would be a complete disaster!
I did some readings, and here's what we know about Mayor Alice Guo so far:
1. Alice Guo's birth was only registered in 2013 when she was 17 years old. This suggests her birth year to be 1986, making her 38 years old now. If her parents only registered her birth in 2013, this raises questions about her lack of identification for 17 years.
2. When questioned about the delayed birth registration and why it only occurred when she turned 17, she claimed to have no idea. There were also no hospital records of her birth. She said she was born "inside the house."
3. She does not remember her place of birth in the Philippines or where their family lived at the time of her birth.
4. When asked about the identity of her parents, Guo said she did not grow up with her mother, Amelia Leal. She claimed that her father, Anghelito Guo, is also a private businessman. She later admitted that her father's real name is 'Jian Zhong Guo.’ Guo could not also identify where her parents got married.
5. She said she was homeschooled because they lived on a farm. When pressed about her education records, Guo claimed she was homeschooled from elementary until high school. She said she didn’t go to college. She failed to provide the name of her homeschool provider and could only remember her teacher's name as "Teacher Rubylyn."
6. Her name appeared out of nowhere during the 2022 elections. She ran as an independent candidate.
7. A year before the 2022 elections, Jose Antonio "Jon" Feliciano, who was on his last term as Bamban mayor, declared that Alice Guo could be his successor.
On April 28, 2021, Mayor Feliciano introduced Guo as his friend during the inauguration of the government-owned triple-A poultry dressing plant in Bamban.
8. Sen. Risa Hontiveros said that almost everyone in Bamban knew each other, but nobody knew Guo before she ran for mayor. This is according to the people her researchers spoke with.
9. When asked how she funded her campaign without any backing from a political group, Guo said she had a hog farm with around 2,000 pigs, which yielded an annual profit of P4,000 per head.
Her swine business, she said, struggled during the pandemic, an admission that caught the attention of Sen. Win Gatchalian.
Sen. Gatchalian pointed out that this further raised questions over her 50% ownership of Baofu Corporation, a company that owns the compound that houses the raided POGOs in 2023 and March 2024.
10. Guo said she used to own the land where a POGO compound (Baofu compound) is situated. She said that, in 2020, she looked for investors who would invest in the land. And since she knows how to speak Mandarin, she was able to persuade Chinese investors to build a mall and an apartment building on her lot located at the back of Bamban’s municipal office.
11. But she said when she ran for mayor in 2022, she sold her shares in Baofu Corporation.

Senators Risa Hontiveros and Win Gatchalian probed Guo regarding her purported involvement with Zun Yuan Technology Incorporated and Hong Sheng Gaming Technology Incorporated — two POGO companies inside the compound owned by Baofu Corporation. Hong Sheng was raided in February 2023. Then it changed its name to Zun Yuan, which was also raided in March 2024.
Gatchalian, citing "damning pieces of evidence," suggested Guo’s potential involvement in the operation of the POGO facility.
13. Guo owned up to facilitating the application for local permits of Hongsheng Gaming Technology Inc. that was raided in February 2023.
14. Guo denied being a protector of POGO. She said,
“Unang una po hindi ako konektado at hindi po ako operator, hindi po ako protector or coddler po ng POGO. Wala po akong kinalaman sa kanilang operation at saka kahit anong gawains sa loob at labas po ng POGO (First of all, I’m not connected, and I’m not an operator or coddler of POGO. I’m not involved in their operation and anything happening inside or outside of POGO),”
“Dati po akong incorporator ng Baofu ngunit ito po ay aking naibenta bago pa po ako pumasok sa pulitika. Meron po akong dokumento na magpapatunay po nito (I was a former incorporator of Baofu but I have already sold my shares before I entered politics. I have documents to prove this),” the mayor added.
15. On her Facebook page, she has many "pakulo" and she gives away cakes to senior citizens who have their birthdays every day. No wonder the residents of Bamban like her!
16. Her YouTube channel was created on Jan. 28, 2022. It only has two uploaded videos. Her first video was uploaded on April 20. 2022. Those videos look like propaganda videos.
17. Her Instagram account was created on January 2022 and her first post was April 20, 2022.
Questions:
Does she speak fluent Kapampangan? Pwede bang sample?
Does she speak Tagalog with a Kapampangan accent?
Does her Tagalog sound natural? (I think it's awkward)
How's her English?
Can she recite "Panatang Makabayan" fluently? Can she sing the Philippine National Anthem? Dapat impromptu recitation at kanta sa next investigation!
