Virtual Private Network
A virtual private network , also known as a VPN , is a private network that extends across a public network or internet . It enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network.
VPNs can provide functionality, security and/or network management benefits to the user.

IPv4 Address

IPv4 addresses are canonically represented in dot-decimal notation , which consists of four decimal numbers, each ranging from 0 to 255, separated by dots, e.g., 172.16.254.1. Each part represents a group of 8 bits (octet) of the address. In some cases of technical writing, IPv4 addresses may be presented in various hexadecimal,
octal, or binary representations.

IPv6 Address

This new generation of the Internet Protocol was eventually named Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) in 1995.[3][4] The address size was increased from 32 to 128 bits (16 octets), thus providing up to 2128 (approximately
3.403 ×10 38 ) addresses. This is deemed sufficient for the foreseeable future.
Proxy Server
A proxy server is a dedicated computer or a software system running on a computer that acts as an intermediary between an endpoint device, such as a computer, and another server from which a user or client is requesting a service. The proxy server may exist in the same machine as a firewall server or it may be on a separate server, which forwards requests through the firewall.
Forward Proxy
Forward proxies send the requests of a client onward to a web server. Users access forward proxies by directly surfing to a web proxy address or by configuring their Internet settings. Forward proxies allow circumvention of firewalls and increase the privacy and security for a user but may sometimes be used to download îllégâl materials such as copyrighted materials or child pornography.
Reverse Proxy
Reverse proxies transparently handle all requests for resources on destination servers without requiring any action on the part of the requester.
Anonymous Proxy
Anonymous proxies hide the IP address of the client using them allow to access materials that are blocked by firewalls or to circumvent IP address bans. They may be used for enhanced privacy and / or protection from attack.
Highly Anonymous Proxy
Highly anonymous proxies hide even the fact that they are being used by clients and present a non-proxy public IP address. So not only do they hide the IP address of the client using them, they also allow access to sites that might block proxy servers. Examples of highly anonymous proxies include I2P and
TOR.
Internet Service Provider
An ISP (Internet service provider) is a company that provides individuals and other companies access to the Internet and other related services such as Web site building and virtual hosting.
Web Server
A Web server is a program that uses HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) to serve the files that form Web pages to users, in response to their requests, which are forwarded by their computers' HTTP clients.
