🚗 Cars · Motorcycles Thinner oil is more fuel economy

Thinner oil pros: Fuel mileage, oil gets pumped faster on internal parts therefore shorter warm up time. Cons: Faster wear and tear on internal parts due to lesser capillary action (mabilis tumulo yung langis from internals, faster degradation of oil (mabilis lumabnaw/maluto)

Thicker oil (vs. recommended sa manual) Pros: Well lubricated and protected internal parts due to higher capillary properties (oil clings better to metal parts), slower oil degradation (mas matagal lumabnaw/maluto from usage) Cons: Higher oil pump stress (less fuel mileage), longer warm up time (oil needs to get at operating temp longer).

Kaya kung gusto mo magtipid sa gasolina use a thinner oil like 10w30 sa motorcycle or 5w30 sa 4 wheels. But if you want engine protection use a thicker oil like 40 or 50. Ang ginagamit ko 10w40.
