Batanes is also a heritage site. Yet we allow it to be turned into a US base. In fact, Batanes role in Filipino civilization is tremendous. It hosts the dwelling place of the first Austronesian dwellers. Yet..Filipinos don't care. They will only care if Batanes becomes another Corregidor already.
