A dragonfly is a captivating and agile insect that belongs to the order Odonata. They are more than 5000+ specifies around the world. Renowned for its dazzling colors and remarkable flight capabilities. Characterized by a slender body, large compound eyes, and two pairs of intricately veined wings, these insects are found in various habitats worldwide, with a preference for freshwater environments during their early stages of life.


Alam nyo ba na ang tutubi (dragonfly) ay expert pala sa aerial acrobats. Sila daw yung tinatawag na “acrobats of the sky”. Magaling mag maneuver to hahaha. They are capable of flying in any direction-forward, backward, upward, and downward!


They undergo metamorphosis stage, transitioning through egg, nymph, pupa, ãdül†, and latter stages.


As they become adults, they capture prey while in mid-air, approaching it from beneath and subsequently inverting themselves to wrap their legs around their targets.
