Ano po yung eSIM?

SIM card pero digital version (embedded SIM). Downloadable yung eSIM instead of manually installing a physical card.

Konti lang ang phone models na merong eSIM and it’s usually limited to higher end devices. Apple’s pushing for this technology so lahat ng iPhones since 2018 eSIM capable, even the budget iPhone SEs (2020 & 2022).

Naka-eSIM na SE 2022 ko (Smart prepaid). Balak kong lagyan ng Globe or GOMO nano SIM as backup. Wish ko may prepaid eSIM na rin ang Globe.

wala kasing pag-asa yung smart na mag-migrate from physical to eSIM, kaumay ginagatasan pa ng smart yung market, need new number kung gusto mag eSIM.

Honestly, I don’t have high hopes that Globe will have number porting at launch.

Sa ngayon wala pa yung number porting feature sa Smart prepaid eSIM. It’ll get there eventually.

In any case, I don’t have an active Philippine cellphone number that I can port anyway.
