Paano mag save ng retro games sa switch

I just downloaded retro game sa modded switch ko pero when I have to save the game I can't find how to save it from just like in RetroArch?? There is no SAVE/LOAD options on its Menu?? Now my game that I played for almost an hour is back in the beginning when I opened it again.. help sa mga nakakaalam please thanks in advance po
