TL;DR: Millions of emails intended for US military addresses ending in ".mil" were accidentally sent to addresses ending in ".ml", which belongs to Mali's domain. This typo has been happening for the past decade. As a result, sensitive information such as medical data, identity documents, military maps, travel itineraries, and bookings for high-ranking military leaders were sent to the wrong addresses.
