His father, the late President Ferdinand Marcos was chauffeured around during his administration in a 1980 Lincoln Continental Mark VI Signature Series. Back to the vehicle, PBBM’s current ride and the only vehicle in the country with the number 1 plate is a 2020 Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition, which means it has rear-hinged passenger doors, also known as suicide doors.
Only 150 units were made and had the flagship Black Label trim, which means it comes with specially-coordinated exterior and interior appearance packages, including Chalet, Thoroughbred and Rhapsody Blue leather seats, Alcantara synthetic suede, shearling carpets, mesh, and aluminized fiberglass accents. The second row only has two seats, a large center console, tray tables, and even a tablet holder.
Each of the 150 units has an all-wheel drive layout and uses a 3.0-liter 24-valve, twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 that makes 406 PS and 542 Nm of torque. Its curb weight is around two tons, but that does not yet take into account the armor level it has as a presidential car. We are guessing it could have B7 or at least B6 ballistic protection, which may add about 1,500 pounds to the vehicle.
In 2020, the Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition went for more than $100,000, but since it has been discontinued (meaning it is rare) and the armored plating will add hundreds of thousands of dollars more to its price.
