Evaporation is the process by which a liquid substance, such as water, changes into a gas or vapor form. This occurs when the molecules of the liquid gain enough energy to break away from each other and rise into the air. Evaporation is a natural process that occurs constantly in our environment, and it is directly influenced by factors such as temperature, humidity, and air movement.

In everyday life, we can observe evaporation when we hang wet clothes out to dry on a sunny day, or when a puddle of water disappears after a long period of sun exposure. Evaporation is also an important part of the water cycle, whereby water evaporates from the oceans, lakes, and rivers and forms clouds in the atmosphere, which eventually lead to precipitation.

Overall, evaporation is a crucial process that plays a significant role in regulating the Earth's climate and sustaining life on our planet.
