Pwede bang magpamember o magsolo account kahit nilista ka ng parent mo as a dependent sa PhilHealth niya? Legal age na ako at requirement kasi yan doon sa aapplyan kong work. Can someone help me regarding that issue. Salamat!

Yes, as a legal age, you can apply for your own PhilHealth membership even if you were previously listed as a dependent under your parent's account. PhilHealth recognizes that dependents eventually grow up and may need their own coverage, especially if they are employed.

To apply for your own PhilHealth membership, you will need to submit the following requirements:

1. PhilHealth Member Registration Form (PMRF)
2. Two valid IDs
3. Proof of income, such as a certificate of employment, payslip, or income tax return (ITR)

Once you have completed the requirements, you can submit them to the nearest PhilHealth office or through their online portal. After processing your application, you will receive your PhilHealth ID number and a PhilHealth card that you can use for medical expenses.

Keep in mind that you will need to pay for your own PhilHealth contributions as a member. The current premium rate is 3% of your monthly income, with a minimum monthly contribution of PHP 300 for those earning below PHP 10,000.

I hope this information helps. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.
