In this enhanced version, the script includes the following additional features:​

1. Active Connection Monitoring: The script checks if there are any active connections on the backup link when the primary link fails. If there are no active connections on the backup link, it stays on the backup link to prevent disruption. This ensures a smooth failover without interrupting existing connections.​

2. Telegram Notification for Backup Link: In case of primary link failure and no active connections on the backup link, the script sends a notification to your Telegram chat using the Telegram Bot API.​

3. NAT Configuration: The configuration includes NAT rules to enable outbound traffic from the LAN network to be properly masqueraded when using either WAN link.​

Remember to replace the placeholders "WAN1_IP," "WAN2_IP," "YOUR_LOCAL_NETWORK," "LAN_INTERFACE," "YOUR_BOT_TOKEN," and "YOUR_CHAT_ID" with the actual values for your network configuration and Telegram setup.​

As always, thoroughly test the configuration in a controlled environment or on a non-production network before implementing it in a production environment.​
