Honda Philippines, Inc. announces the local release of the all-new CL500—the latest in a long line of big bikes for people who live life on-road but also require some light off-road touring.

The newest addition to Honda’s big bike line gives Filipino riders the chance to flex their style muscles without compromising on performance. And with a suggested retail price of P 409,000, it offers tremendous value for money.

The CL500 is the latest interpretation of Honda’s classic street scrambler, but fitted with modern features and amenities.

Central to the street scrambler style, the CL500 features a high-position dual-exit exhaust with a built-in heat guard. An all-black diamond-structure steel frame also promotes great handling, while a low seat height makes it accessible to more riders. The relaxed upright seating position provides visibility and promotes control with the classic round-shaped fuel tank coming fitted with rubber knee pads for comfort.

For the Philippines, the CL500 comes in either Matte Laurel Green Metallic or Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.

The CL500 comes with front 41-mm telescopic forks with a classic black fork cover, dual rear shock absorbers, and 14-spoked rims fitted with a semi-blocked tire pattern. Other features include a classic negative LCD display. Its iconic round headlight also contains a full LED lighting system.

Powering the CL500 is a 471-cc liquid-cooled four-stroke DOHC 4-valve parallel twin with 45.95 horsepower (33.8 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It comes with a assist/slipper clutch and front and rear disc brakes with two-channel ABS.

What’s more, the CL500 comes with Honda’s Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) feature that flashes the signal lights rapidly during sudden braking making the bike more visible to other motorists.

The Honda CL500 is now available at all Honda Big Bike stores nationwide.
