PH1 Corinthians 3:7 (KJV) So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
God has given us some important assignments in His kingdom, but we cannot complete the work without Him. He calls us to sow the seed of sharing the good news of the gospel of salvation. And He calls us to nurture other believers through teaching and fellowship. But only God can produce growth and bring forth fruit. For the glory is His, not ours.
Lord, You have called me to great work for Your kingdom. Please guard my heart against pride as I carry out the tasks You’ve set before me. Instill in me a humble spirit so that I may faithfully do my part while You do Yours. May the joy of seeing Your name be glorified be all the reward that I need. In Jesus’ name, amen.
