Captain Hot Lips
What is more convincing, a miracle or a teaching?

Answer #1:
Personally, I rather wish we could just drop all the religious baggage and only have the teachings.
Why must people be told that good advice comes from a magic daddy in the sky?
Why can’t it be enough that the advice itself is good?

Answer #2:
If Jesus hadn't performed any miracle, would people still have followed him?
Sure. All you need to do is look at any modern-day cult: all you need is a charismatic leader.
What is more convincing, a miracle or a teaching?
Neither. A sword against the throat works much better for the common folk, and political aspirations for the one holding the sword.
