Kung noon po ay pangkaraniwan na ang ilikas o sagipin ng gobyerno ng Amerika ang mga US citizens na naiipit sa digmaan, nabago na po ang patakaran simula noong 2021 nang iwanan ng kanilang militarya ang Afghanistan.

Ang bagong patakaran ay kumpirmado ngayong may giyera na rin sa bansang Sudan. Tumanggi ang gobyerno na tulungan ang mga US citizens na naiipit sa naturang bansa.
