Both are correct.

Word choice in English is very much about time — when the event or action occurred, when it occurred in relation to how or why it occurred, and sometimes where we are at the time we’re speaking. For example:

• “I have been in London” — Here the message is that I’ve recently returned from London where I have been visiting or living in the city for awhile, as in for the past few weeks or months.
• “I have been to London” — Here the message is that the person has done some traveling in the past, which involved one or more relatively short visits, and is identifying places to which his past travels have taken him.
